The New Los Angeles

A little birdy just dropped It’s Casual‘s new album “The New Los Angeles” in my lap, and I must say it’s some of the best hardcore I’ve heard in a while. None of that stuff you hear from kids with angular haircuts and skinny jeans currently, but some right out of the 80′s SST shit. Since this release doesn’t even have a label yet, I won’t be posting a track on here, the best I can do is point you to It’s Casual’s Myspace page, where they are currently streaming 2 tracks (LAPD being my favorite of the two) from the album.
“The New Los Angeles” is a concept album filled with material culled from the City of Angels’ various decorative and distressed neighborhoods that Edward Solis (vocalist/guitarist) observes on his daily hour-long commute from East LA to Hollywood. Without a license, Solis relies on public transportation to make his travels to and fro, taking in the essence of the true Los Angeles.
No band would be more perfect for a Metrolink sponsored show.
When it’s appropriate to post a track or there is news of this album’s release I will make sure to let ya’ll know.
