News Bytes Twitter Next Week’s New Releases
If you are a tad underwhelmed by The Good The Bad and The Queen like I am, you might want to check out another Clash member’s current project, Mick Jones’s Carbon/Silicon.
Mick did quite a few interviews recently around the release of The Clash “Singles” Box Set (highly recommended), and in most of them he was able to slip in a little info about Carbon/Silicon, his current band with Tony James (Generation X). Reading The Tripwire this morning jogged my memory and got me on over to Carbon/Silicon’s website to download some tracks. Infact what is really cool about Carbon/Silicon (besides that it is Mick Jones and Tony James) is that they make all their recorded output free for download. As of now they have two complete albums available, A.T.O.M. and Western Front, with new music being recorded and rehearsed now for a possible tour this spring.
