4/08/07…This Week In Shows
I didn’t make it out to any shows this last week, because I like so many of you, I have been sick, so this week I am really looking forward to getting out. You’ll notice that most of these shows focus on rock from the fringe, except for the the Ted Leo show, a nice change up if I do say so myself.
Sunday, April 8th: Die! Die! Die! @ The Echo
New Zealanders, Die! Die! Die! are touring the US post SXSW, see them at Part Time Punks with KDVS favorites Little Claw from Hamtramck, Michigan. Also at the Silverlake Lounge on Monday.

Hazy droney rock, really the name here says it all. With Sonic Boom (Spaceman 3) and locals, Eskimo Hunter.

Tuesday, April 10th: Crystal Antlers @ El Cid
Rock and soul goodness that doesn’t sound contrived like so many other similar acts currently do. Also on Saturday at The Prospector.

I know absolutely nothing about Night Fur, but liked the music on their Myspace.

Thursday, April 12th: Ted Leo and the Pharmacists @ The El Rey
Ted Leo soldiers on, out on the road in support of his new Touch and Go release, “Living With The Living”. Opening the show are locals, Division Day, a fine match if you ask me. Also on Friday at The El Rey again.

Friday, April 13th: Hella @ The Echo
Zach and Spencer are incredible musicians who will put you in awe watching them perform. Sometimes it doesn’t sound like music, but an exercise in awsomeness.

Saturday, April 14th: The Stevenson Ranch Davidians, @ The Prospector
Catchy and sometimes dark tunes that are built upon the foundations of seasoned blues and psychedelic bands of eras since past.
