A song for my dog

hannah.jpg

Yesterday my mom called to me tell me that they had to put our dog down. Her liver had been almost completely destroyed by Hepatitis (I wasn’t aware dogs could get that disease) and despite the medication she was on to try to help repair it, her liver failed.

There probably aren’t enough songs about dogs considering how integral of a part they play in our lives, but this one, Jessie, from Paw’s out-of-print 1993 album, Dragline, is doing it for me right now.

Download Jessie (mp3) from the album “Dragline” by Paw.

  1. WOW! i used to love this song when it came out.
also not sure if you remember road rash, the video game it was featured in? ;) thanks for the memories!

  2. Paw is such an underrated band. Their entire short-lived catalog is excellent. I really enjoy the entire Death To Traitors album and their cover of Imainary Lover.

  3. RIP
