White Rabbits

I think I just blanked on these guys at first due to their name (bad habit I know), I would see White Rabbits popping up here and there, but never took the time to check them out. Then the other day I was on Future Sounds and Larry really seemed to dig them, and I don’t why that got me to check them out (since my taste and Larry’s don’t coincide that often), but I did. And damn if I ain’t thankful that I did.

White Rabbits are from New York and make a kind of shuffling and rollicking rock n roll that off the bat reminds me a bit of The Walkmen (who I am actually not a fan of, go figure) and The Nurses. The two tracks below are good, but they are just the start, Fort Nightly gets better as goes along.

White Rabbits hit Los Angeles next week, playing Cinespace Tuesday June 12th and Spaceland on Wednesday June 13th.
