News Bytes Twitter Next Week’s New Releases
Hype alert, sorry, I couldn’t let this one pass by.
Of all the crazy hyped sophmore albums from the last couple years most buzzed about new acts, I would have to say I am most eagerly looking forward to M.I.A.’s new album, Kala, which will be released in the US on August 21st, probably because I,like everyone else fell in love with Arular and because it is one of few musical acts the AATW (Almost Already The Wife) and I can agree on listening to in the car.
“Boyz” the first single from the album was officially released yesterday on CD and 12″ as well as digitally and on some sort of USB wristband thing, and includes the “Boyz” video, a “making of”, photos, and remix parts.
And then today M.I.A. announced shows in LA and NY, with the Los Angeles show being at the Echoplex on July 30th, tickets are on sale now at Ticketweb.

These have all been floating around the web for a while now, infact I’m not sure if all these are the same versions that ended up on the album, just stuff I had collected here and there.
