Gore Gore Girls free tonight and tomorrow in LA

Well I meant to get this post up a lot earlier today, but Dreamhost decided to have an all day network outtage, leaving Inflight indisposed most of the day.

All is well now and that leaves us with the Gore Gore Girls who are playing a couple of free shows in Los Angeles, the first one is this evening at Amoeba and the other is tomorrow (Aug. 17th) at the Echoplex with Midnight Movies, Irving, and The Architects. The girls are in Los Angeles promoting the release of their new Bloodshot Records release, Get The Gore, an ass shakin’ boot stomping good time of a record that is just the right mixture of the The Stooges, New York Dolls, and Joan Jet and the Blackhearts. This ain’t no cutesy 60’s girl pop, these girls from Detroit know how to mix down n’ dirty garage rock with girl group go-go, case in point the Stooges-esq track “Pleasure Unit”, in all of it’s self-fulfilling wild girl don’t give a fuck about anyone else but myself glory.
