Meho Plaza Sold Their Organs

So I was checking out the bands playing Rock Insider’s “Indie Schmindie” at The Scene tomorrow night, pretty clueless to who any of them are other than Divisadero, and I totally found myself digging on Meho Plaza and their song “I Sold My Organs”.
On my first listen to “I Sold My Organs”, I found myself saying, “that’s cool. Oh, wait. Is this the same song?” Then I had to go back and listen again. And again. And then again, having the same reaction to it as I did the first time I heard No Age. It starts out very fuzzy, spazzy, even slightly Nintendo sounding, before slowing down and mellowing out for a brief acoustic interlude (the “Oh, wait. Is this the same song?” part), only to then ratchet back up to where the song started out.
Wait, I just realized who Meho Plaza sound a bit like. Autolux. Do you hear it? I can hear it in their other song “Let’s Play Police”.
