I’ve waxed poetic a bit here and there on IfAN about both Tweak Bird and Crystal Antlers, and in real life I have told pretty much anyone who will listen, how good both these bands are. If the music industry were like “fantasy baseball”, both Tweak Bird and Crystal Antlers would the first two bands I would want on my team.
This show was booked really last minute and I only found out about it ’cause I cruised Buddyhead this morning, where Kathleen of Tsk Tsk had some nice things to say about Tweak Bird (see a couple pics of the show she is a talking about here and a couple of mine here).
Don’t fret if you already got other plans tonight because both bands each have two more killer LA shows lined up later this month. Tweak Bird will be playing the LA Weekly’s Click Hear show on Dec 10th at the El Rey and then on Dec 30th they’ll be opening for the Melvins at the EchoPlex. And Crystal Antlers will be playing this Friday, Dec 7th, at the 6th Street Warehouse with the Moonrats and again on Dec 16th at the LA Record X-Mas Party with Magic Lantern and Golden Animals in Eagle Rock.
