This Moment In Black History spend a moment in LA

Cleveland, Ohio’s This Moment In Black History are making their way to Los Angeles this weekend for what I want to say is the first time (someone correct me if I am wrong) in the band’s 5 yearish “career“.

Their latest release, It Takes a Nation of Assholes to Hold Us Back was released in 2006 by the local label, Cold Sweat, and garnered plenty attention and praise from a wide variety of media outlets for the combination of the members ethnicities, their band name and album title, and the overall abrasiveness of their sound. Produced by Steve Albini, It Takes a Nation… sounds something like a four car pile up between Drive Like Jehu, Tanner, Black Flag, and McClusky.

Catch one of This Moment In Black History’s chaotic and unpredictable shows this weekend.
