The Vandelles in Los Angeles and Long Beach this Weekend

So I guess I missed the memo on Brooklyn’s The Vandelles back in November when Fanatic Promotion began their blog onslaught and subsequently filled pages of Google Blog Search with a regurgitated press release and mp3 links (happily hotlinked from Fanatic below) to songs from their 2007 self-titled debut EP release.
I will withhold written judgement until I see the band live, which I plan on doing on Saturday when they play The Prospector with LSD and the Search for God and The Stevenson Ranch Davidians, though I will say the two songs below were intriguing enough for me to take the five minutes to throw this post up.
If this non-introduction introduction isn’t enough for you, read an interview with The Vandelles on What To Wear During An Orange Alert and Chris Ziegler’s short piece on them in this week’s issue of The District Weekly.
For those of you from the City of Angels, The Vandelles play The Scene Bar tonight (Friday) with Sky Parade, and Sunday at The Echo with Spindrift and LSD and the Search for God for Part Time Punks.

If you like these tracks, buy a CD at a show, ’cause I can’t find it online anywhere and it is sold out on Safranin’s website.
