News Bytes Twitter Next Week’s New Releases
Los Angeles’ Anavan are set to release their sophomore album, Cover Story on November 11th via Slanty Shanty Records. Their show tonight with Grand Buffet, Hearts Of Darkness, Captain Ahab, Kyle H. Mabson is both a celebration of the album’s upcoming release and send off for the band as they leave for a month long tour of Europe next week (the cause for the premature record release show).
For those of you who aren’t local to Los Angeles or just have yet to notice Anavan’s ascension in the same scene – revolving around the all ages downtown Los Angeles venue, The Smell – that has nurtured No Age, HEALTH, Mika Miko and Abe Vigoda, their new album Cover Story should put the band on the national map and further cement the importance of and lend credit to scene that helped bring them up.
