Not familiar with Deep Sea Diver or Jessica Dobson? Get caught up over at the OC Weekly, who have kept pretty good tabs on her tangled music career so far.
Tonight’s show, a celebration (one that is truly deserved, considering her checkered recording past) for the release of her debut EP, New Caves, at The Art Theatre in Long Beach is being sponsored by We Love Long Beach and Fingerprints, who are offering a $12 ticket/EP combo.
Joining Dobson tonight will be Marika, a young up and coming female artist who recently recorded her debut album with Matt Wignall and Nate Willett (Cold War Kids), and Two Guns, featuring former Fielding members Kevin Poush, Aaron TK and Adam TK.
Dobson is self-releasing the New Caves EP that contains songs recorded by Matt Wignall (Cold War Kids), Dave Larring and Phil Ek, and is said to already be working on her next full length album due out in June 2009.
