I still stand by my earlier statement that Marissa Nadler‘s music makes for a great come down. With her new album, Little Hells (out now on Kemado), Nadler has created another solid piece of work that completely envelops and transports the listener to a wholly magical place. The place where Nadler takes you is not completely safe, as some of the sound scapes are eerily foreboding, but at no time does she ever leave you. It’s all strangely comforting. Does that make sense?

Tonight’s show kicks off a long tour for Nadler that will take her across the U.S. with the Handsome Family before jetting across the Atlantic for a month long European tour in May.
